If you like to have access to the internet whilst on the move in your motorhome, campervan or any other vehicle, then why not use our DC 12V conversion kit?

Our 12v to 56v step up converters are compatible the Starlink Gen 3 system only. They come in two versions, the standard 3 amp converter with starter wires, or the high performace 5 amp converter which allows you to add your own wires. Simply connect to your power source and either add a DC plug or snip your old Starlink power supply cable and plug directly into the back of your Starlink  Gen 3 router.

If you don't want to cut the wires from your Starlink power supply, you will need to acquire a DC plug and then connect to the output wires on the converter and the input wires to your 12v fuse board or power source. Our 12v converter steps up the voltage from 12v to 56v so that it can power the router AND the dish.

Unless you want to use a third party router, there is no need for a separate PoE injector. In our experience, the Starlink Gen 3 router will provide more than enough WiFi coverage for your motorhome or campervan, but you may experience a little more power consumtion if using it off grid.

If low power consumption is your thing, you will need to change the Starlink router for a third party router and obtain a separate PoE injector to power the dish. We do a range of products that can help you. Please contact us if you have any queries.

We do NOT recommend using a cigarette lighter plug as the power source, but wiring the converter direct to a 12v fuse board instead. We suggest a 15A fuse in case the snow melt function is used, as this draws more power and will likely blow the cigarette lighter fuse. Ideally it should be installed with a separate on/off switch.

If you would like to purchase one of our 12v to 56v step up converters, please choose from the standard 3A converter or our new higher power rated 5A converter (our recommendation). We no longer supply DC plugs and wiring as each installation is unique and requires differing lengths. Your preferred installer should be able to supply you with these as part of your installation costs.
